First of all, don't plan it on a Monday, as some attractions are closed. But being said, the travel operators and especially the driver, Mr. Mohan, were very accommodating. All in all great experience.

Amazing experience witnessing the kathakali art. They give you a script prior to the show. I strongly suggest reading it before the play starts since kathakali means story play (without voice) so in order to understand what the artists are trying to show.

I booked a package to be picked up in Kochi to go to Munnar and do the Kolukkumalai sunrise walk. It was a great experience: my driver was great, very knowledgeable (and a good photographer): he would suggest certain sights and shops on the way from Kochi to Munnar, making the long drive fun and entertaining. Kolukkumalai at sunrise is gorgeous! And the tent stay was fun as well (pack warm nightwear!) - and the food was delicious!
